With a careful step, Splingo entered the Dragons lair. He held his breath and reached out to pluck the gem from its resting place.
Plop.
He turned around, gem in hand to see a droplet had fallen from his cloak onto the tail of the beast. With a noise like distant thunder, the dragon rose with a shower of loose gold, roaring and bellowing in rage, face twisted with hate.
THIEF! CUR! COWARD! He roared, shaking with fury.
Splingo darted to the side, hiding as best he could behind a stalagmite, the rock blackened and worn.
SHOW YOURSELF! AND KNOW THE WRATH OF GROMFINDOR.
If its all the same, Id rather not. Splingo ran, sprinting for the cave mouth. A gout of flame roared behind him, turning a coin pile into molten sludge as he darted through the tunnel.
RUN! RUN THIEF. BUT I KNOW YOUR SMELL, HALFLING. WHEN THE RECKONING COMES YOU WILL PAY IN FIRE AND BLOOD.
The dragons threats ringing in his ears, Splingo ran as he never had before, over the hills and into the darkness.
The plucky (or foolhardy) thief who started this whole dragon business! This set includes Splingo Padfoot and a sleeping Gromfindor, head resting on a mound of gold.
