These shields vary in design and have a flat face. So when put on a unit, you get the variation of different types of shield and youve still got the surface area to paint on their own unit markings or terrifying evil runic symbols of choice.  

They have a little bit of metal inside the hole in the middle- so you can use them with models with and without that little knobbly thing on their hands!
